$2,000 Parkside Points Series Awards Night
$2,000 was distributed on Saturday night (Nov 3rd) to the top finishers in the 2007 Parkside Points Series for amateur volleyball players. Sponsored by The Parkside Grill & Lounge in Moline, Illinois, this points series awards points to individual players for participation in various local and regional events throughout 2007.
Each player’s ranking was calculated by totaling their 8 best tournament finishes of the year, then adding in league points, and finally, adding any bonus points. The prize pool consisting of $1,000 for men, and $1,000 for women was funded 100% by the Parkside Grill & lounge. Bonus points were awarded for participation in the following regional events: King of The Mountain, Waupaca Boatride, The Motherlode, and The Luau. In addition, 10 bonus points were available for attendence at any AVP Crocs Tour stop.
Serving as Master of Ceremonies for the awards presentation was the Sports Director from CBS4 TV, Jay Kidwell.
